The Blue Ridge Marathon is happy to announce Fleet Feet Sports Roanoke as our official training partner, and together we will be offering both local, in-person training programs for runners in the “540” area, as well as virtual training program for those that need assistance training in all parts of the country for America’s Toughest Road Marathon & Half Marathon.  Now everyone can have the tools they need to successfully cross the finish line on race day.  See the details below for the local training programs or click here for details about the virtual training program.

LOCAL RUN540 TRAINING PROGRAMS-

Fleet Feet Sports Half Marathon Training Program:

Fleet Feet Sports Half Marathon Training ProgramThe Official Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Half Marathon training program run by Fleet Feet Sports Roanoke is a 14-week program for runners AND run/walkers looking for structure and support while training.

Included with registration for the program is a Saturday morning long run at 7:30am AND Thursday evening workouts at 6pm.  Training includes 14 weeks of specially designed workouts (twice a week), newsletters, access to RUN-540 coaches and more!  We require all participants be 18 or older and must be comfortably able to run at least 5 miles.

Registration also includes 1-on-1 time with experienced coaches & mentors; clinics on nutrition, injury prevention & hydration; cool moisture-wicking shirt, Fleet Feet goodies, opportunity to win prizes; and “homework” to help you continue building toward your goal when not with the group.

Details:

  • Training Kick-Off Night/Orientation:  Monday, January 16th @ 7:15pm.  This is open to both registered and interested participants.
  • Training Begins:  Thursday, January 19th, 2017
  • Program Schedule:  Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 7:30am
  • Program Fee:  $115 through January 8th; $125 after January 8th (last day to register is January 16th)
