Fleet Feet Sports Roanoke and Blue Ridge Racing are the official training partners of the Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon. This allows us to offer Virtual Training for those anywhere in the world, and in-person, local training for runners in the “540” area. Commit to training right and gain the tools needed to successfully cross the finish line on race day.

LOCAL RUN540 TRAINING PROGRAMS-

NEW FOR 2019! Fleet Feet is donating 50% of your training fee to the Roanoke Outside Foundation! ROF is a 501(c)3 charitable organization whose mission to make outdoor activity and environmental stewardship a core component of our community’s lifestyle, and improve the quality of life for all throughout the Roanoke Region of Virginia.

 


Fleet Feet Sports Full Marathon LOCAL Training Program:

The Official Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon RUN540 training program run by Fleet Feet Sports Roanoke is a 14-week program for runners AND run/walkers looking for structure and support while training.

Included with registration for the program is a Saturday morning long run at 7:00am AND Thursday evening workouts at 6pm.  Training includes 14 weeks of specially designed workouts (twice a week), newsletters, access to RUN-540 coaches and more!  Fleet Feet requires all participants be 18 or older and must be comfortably able to run at least 10 miles for the full program, and 5 miles for the half program.

Registration also includes 1-on-1 time with experienced coaches & mentors; clinics on nutrition, injury prevention & hydration; cool moisture-wicking shirt, Fleet Feet goodies, private Facebook group, a post-season party to celebrate, opportunity to win prizes; and “homework” to help you continue building toward your goal when not with the group.

  • Training Kick-Off Night/Orientation:  Monday, January 3rd @ 7:15pm.  This is open to both registered and interested participants.
  • Training Begins:  Thursday, January 7th, 2019
  • Program Schedule:  Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 7:00am
  • Program Fee:  $120 – Register by January 6th to guarantee your shirt size
